for a media based job your best bet is a mac probably a i mac. you can get i macs with monitors up to and maybe over 27" with brilliant color. my friend uses them for his design and marketing company with cs4 Photoshop and there amazing. but also quite expensive. hope this helps. i run cs3 and it uses around about a gig of ram if i'm using in-design and flash or doing quite a lot at the same time then if your running vista that takes up a lot about a gig of ram. so if your not going for a i mac you need at least 3 gig of ram and windows seven and dual core processor or more which you can find from around £349.00 new. and also use a external monitor preferably a hd monitor. you can do all sorts of amazing things with two monitors on windows seven like have two desktops at the same time doing different things. dragging from one screen straight to the other and lots more which is helpful in media design.
