- I have an old book called The Complete Book of Running written by James F. Fixx. I like it and it is still a good read, even for being old. The auther has a pretty neat personal story too. Maybe google him and find out about him.
- Runners World Magazine is the bible.
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Running, is a good book.
Check out anything by Dr. George Sheehand (deceased). He was a cardiologist who wrote extensively about running, not only about the mechanics and phisiology, but also about the philosophy and the "Joy of Running" - Books:

- If you're intersted in atletics news then try Athletics Weekly. It costs about £2.45 but is available on subsciption too.
- Try reading Marathon Man, It was written by John Hubris. Great running book.

- Running books -- these may have already been mentioned, but Once A Runner by John Parker, Running With the Buffaloes by Chris Lear, and Pre by Jordan. For training books, I really like Daniel's formula by Jack Daniels. (yes, thats really his name.)
Running Magazines -- Runner's World is often joked about in the "serious" running community as Jogger's World. Its great for beginners, but not as helpful for someone who has been running a while. I really like Running Times. It has great interviews of professional runners and what a week of training looks like for them, as well as great articles on nutrition, stretching, racing, etc. It goes more in depth than Runner's World (basically, it assumes you already know the basics and so it goes beyond that.)
